01.10.2014 - Travelling in SlovakiaProject Accessible Tourism – We promised in May publication of Slovak tourist attractions monitored in region Turiec (Žilina Region). Now you can find in the section “Tourist premises & routes“ three new tourist premises and one route of this very popular tourist destination in Slovakia. There is a Museum of the Slovak Village, which is similar to the open-air museum in Rožnov pod RadhoÅ¡tÄ›m. You can find a Karol Plicka Museum dedicated to the memory of this important Czech photographer, filmmaker, ethnographer, folklorist and educator in the village Blatnica. On the limestone ridge, only two kilometers north of the village is situated Blatnica Castle, which was built in the 13th century to protect trade routes from Nitra to the Baltic Sea. You can go through the spa path in TurÄianske Teplice, you can taste drinking mineral water directly from the source and sit on the unusually artistically designed benches. In addition, the project staff prepared a tip for the first Czechoslovak trip „Romancing the Sources“. And why such a name? You can read it by clicking on this link.  Project is co-financed by EU through the Cross-border Cooperation Operational Programme between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Micro Projects Fund. Project is realized by Trianon (NGO).  Archive | Back |
