06.09.2011 - Tourism atractions assessment under way!
In September, mapping the real accessibility of tourist atractions in the Moravian-Silesian region will begin. Relevant and available information on accessibility, such as reserved parking spots, the slope of the access walkway, entrance doors width, the number of stairs or the existence of a barrier-free toilets are absolutely necessary to make decision of tourists with special needs where they will spend their free time.
Operators of castles, palaces, parks, arboretums, theaters, museums, towers, sacred monuments, other natural, historical and cultural attractions, nature trails and hiking trails in the Beskydy - Wallachia, Jeseníky, Silesian Opava, Ostrava, PoodÅ™í - Moravian KravaÅ™e and Tsesin Silesia, who wish to participate in the process may contact the coordinating staff at e-mail address: ostruszkova@kazuist.cz. Deadline for applications is 30 September 2011. Monitoring results will be made available to the public on the web portal www.jedemetaky.cz in April 2012.
The activity takes place within the project "Tourism without Barriers" led by Moravian Silesian Tourism Cluster. This project aims to continue the systematic promotion of accessible tourism that respects the specific needs of persons with reduced mobility (people with disabilities, seniors, families with children, etc.)
